CME professional (www.cme-pro.com), announced that it has entered into an agreement to represent Wave Idea products internationally from October, 2005. CME will distribute Wave Idea products worldwide, for any query regard to the distribution of Wave Idea products, please contact CME directly at sales@cme-pro.com.

The first product handled by CME is Bitstream3X, "3X" stands for "3 Axis" because the Bitstream 3X features full control over three different Axis- X, Y and Z. A joystick allows control over two (X and Y), while an ribbon controller is used for the Z axis. With 35 knobs, 8 Sliders and 16 buttons, the Bitstream gives you total hands on control of any DAW software and comes with an astounding 13,000 presets including Reason, Live, Reaktor, Traktor, Absynth, Cakewalk and of course Cubase. Digital DJ’s will love the MIDI Cross fader and the 8 track motion sampler allows automated recording of the movements of the knobs, joystick, crossfader and ribbon controller.

CME VX6

From the Press Release: CME has just release their brand new intelligent keyboard controller - VX series. It's the first keyboard with motor fader controller as well as multi-function expansion slot in the world. As the first keyboard with 'PadStyle' intelligent MIDI songs and styles in the world, it is available to update via USB. It’s also the first keyboard with unique Game mode, Multi-scale and U-CTRL function in the world.  More info:  http://www.cme-pro.com/products-list/product-vx.html

Just about every controller you can think of is on this board, and the keyboard has velocity and initial and aftertouch.  CME, by the way, was right next to Yamaha's area.  In fact, CME is listed on the Yamaha website.

Livid

Unique Gear for your Live Gig Rig:
Tactic m2
by Livid http://www.lividinstruments.com/about_news_17.php

A MIDI controller for Live Video.  From their site:

Livid Instruments, the creators of real-time video instruments introduced today their latest hardware product, the Tactic m2. The Tactic m2 is the updated version of their innovative video instrument, first introduced last year. Since it’s release the Tactic has powered world tours and the m2 made its debut last week at Hotel MTV with the visuals designed by Livid for the 2005 MTV Video Music Awards.

This new streamlined Tactic model features a completely new Tactic Pro 1.5 software package. The hybrid hardware-software design allows Tactic Pro 1.5 to run on almost any Macintosh computer, never making it obsolete. “With the Tacitc m2 we’ve introduced a more powerful set of tools while keeping our hand-crafted instrument design,” states Jay Smith, President of Livid Instruments. “Our set of software tools, effects, and hardware integration further extends Livid’s ease-of-use reputation.”

An awesome demonstration.  I can't describe it, but I will tell you I want it!  The Controller allows you to "play" your video feeds and clips like an instrument.  With the software, also available by itself, and at a reasonable price, You can mix multiple layers of video and add over 100 effects in real time.  Yes, I said real time.  You can record your creations to disk in Quick Time format.  As a Final Cut Pro user, I am thinking of the possibilities here, for podcasts and QT movies for the web.
